Daniel + Taylor | Wedding

I've known Taylor since she was in high school. She's my youngest sister's best friend so it was kind of a given that I'd be she and Daniel's photographer. And I am SO happy that I was! Even if it was weird having my sister there as the maid of honor instead of her normal wedding role as my awesome assistant--I definitely had to refrain from giving her tasks! ha! Daniel + Taylor's wedding day was GORGEOUS and so perfectly green! Not only did they choose the perfect venue for their day that was full of lush green leaves and grasses but they also went green by using an assortment of recycled glass jars and second-hand books in their reception decorating. I couldn't even contain my excitement about it when I first saw the tables at the Reception tent! Just look at how lovely it all was!

I arrived at the girls' cabin early in the afternoon and they were buzzing with excitement with a little frantic-ness thrown in there. They were rushing to move cabins due to a little mix-up in rentals. I made it just in time to get a few shots of the dresses in the large room. The girls laughed and chatted as they raced to beat Housekeeping and keep Taylor hidden from Daniel who she'd now be in the next cabin over from. I loved seeing that they weren't going to let the little hiccup of the day get them down!

The wedding party was perfect! Taylor was a vision of vintage beauty in her wedding dress and she gave her girls total freedom in choosing their own dresses with their flower crowns bringing everything together. They all looked stunning! The guys wore matching tuxes with special-made ties and pocket squares. Taylor + Daniel each wore accessories that they gifted to each other--she wore earrings from him and he wore a watch from her.

The ceremony was held in a cove of trees just off the Chattahoochee River adding even more intimacy to the sweet wedding. Taylor +Daniel added so many great touches to the location! They used mismatched chairs from The Vintage Rental Company for family seating in the front which tied into the natural surroundings so beautifully. And their guestbook was a globe! And my absolute favorite part was the tree planting ceremony! They planted a maple tree in a large pot to take to their new home with them to grow in their yard as they grow old together. SO sweet!

Everything about Daniel + Taylor was so precious and sweet. When they took a few minutes alone together after the ceremony, I swear I melted in their sweetness. They were so clearly smitten and neither of them could contain their joy at finally being MARRIED!

Wedding photographers joke that we do it all for the cake. I'd have to say, I do it all for THIS cake. Oh. My. Gosh. Delicious, beautiful, lemony, and did I say delicious? And the groom's cake had to be an ammonite for these geologists!

The reception was such a fun atmosphere--laughing and dancing all evening long as everyone celebrated such a beautiful couple!

Congrats, Daniel + Taylor! I wish you both a lifetime of joy together!

xoxo
